Saraswati Vidyalaya was established in 1952 with a view to impart education to children residing in Chembur and nearby areas. The founder of Saraswati Vidyalaya is the late K.S. Srinivasan. Saraswati Vidyalaya, which started in 1952 with just 7 children, has today blossomed into a large educational institution, serving over 1800 children. The school is guided by over 65 qualified and experienced teaching and non-teaching staff, resulting in a consistent 100% SSC Board result for the last 10 years. In an independent survey conducted recently, the school has been ranked as the 5th best school amongst over 50 schools in and around Chembur. The school is English medium, aided, and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra, and offers the following facilities for the benefit of children: Our school is a "Minority School," enjoying special rights and privileges under Article 30 of the Constitution of India. The school is open to children of all communities. It strives to impart quality education, giving special attention to discipline, self-reliance, moral values, cultural harmony, and national integration. The school has Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary Sections, with English as the medium of instruction. The school prepares students for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra Government.
